ABOUT BWI

Building the next generation of investors, capital allocators, and founders

Black Women Investors (BWI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on strengthening the pipeline of investment professionals across private equity, venture capital, and the broader private-markets ecosystem. We build a network of investors and finance professionals, create access to industry opportunities, and develop the next generation of investment talent.

Through community, professional development, and strategic programming, BWI provides access to the relationships, knowledge, and opportunities that shape careers in private markets. We connect members with leading investors, institutions, founders, and industry leaders while creating pathways for professional growth and advancement.

Through strategic partnerships, mentorship, education, and curated investment and industry events, BWI develops investment talent, supports emerging founders and fund managers, and strengthens the broader private-markets ecosystem.
